UPDATE: Why I haven't been writing and my future plans

I know that not too many people read my blog. I obviously hope to get more readers to frequently my little soap box known as American Liberty. But a recent comment on my last post about the Afghan War that expressed sadness that I haven't written anything for a while awakened me from my slumber.

The reason I haven't been writing has been because college, and life in general, has made my life pretty busy. I have been studying hard, hanging out with friends, and enjoying family. I also needed a break from the political-historical-economic scene for a while, especially when most of your friends are basically statists who have bought into the fraud of the "two party" system. It can get very discouraging and disheartening when you and one friend are the only ones defending liberty and the Constitution against the offenses of omnipotent government power. But I do plan to write more in the future.

Plus, I have found some inspiration from Robert Wenzel's blog EconomicPolicyJournal. Robert Wenzel has a new thing on his blog where he posts a video clip (usually five minutes) of Murray Rothbard speaking on certain subjects every morning. This has inspired me to do something very similar. Starting this Friday, I will be doing a series entitled "Ron Paul Fridays". In this series, I will post a video clip (usually his speeches in Congress) or an article/essay by Ron Paul about certain subjects and issues that affect our country. Ron Paul is perhaps one of the most articulate champions of liberty and the Constitution in our time. I would like to honor his efforts with this new series.

In the meantime, stay frosty! I do plan to write more articles for this blog!
