Today is April 15th, the day when the American citizenry are involuntarily required to have completed the process of paying taxes to a government that continues to consume the wealth of the country without a care for the damage taxation can cause while growing the size and power of the State. On this day, the citizenry is also inundated with near-endless propaganda about how great taxes are, how patriotic it is to pay taxes, and how taxes are "the price we pay for civilization" Taxes have made society poorer, harmed productive activity and continue to retard economic recovery while helping to fund the activities of the Welfare-Warfare State.
It is important that we educate ourselves about economic subjects like taxation so that those of us who love liberty and natural rights may be able to challenge and debunk the government propagandists. Below is a list with some articles (mostly from the Mises Institute) that will help you to better understand why taxation is destructive and evil.
